| | Something bizarre happened yesterday. I was refueling at Chevron doing my usual routine.
1 Unlock and open tank 2 Slide card 3 Take nozzle 4 Select grade 5 Insert, pump, and lock 6 Wait and watch as the oil barons take your money 7 Unlock, shake, and put the nozzle back 8 Close tank 9 Take receipt
Everything seemed normal until it after step 6. Normally it just hiccups a little and stops pumping when the gas tank is full. Then you unlock it and all right? Well yesterday after it finished, it seemed to unlock itself, which caused the nozzle to fly backwards off my gask tank. It didn't just fall down, it literally flew a couple inches and continued to release gasoline. When it hit the ground it bounced around a little and continued leaking. After it stabilized, I quickly put it back and got the hell out of there. I didn't hear any explosions last night, so I guess my little encounter did no harm. Has this ever happened to anyone before?
